Evaluations
Nearly all the sixth formers will be preparing and compiling evaluations over the Easter holidays. Your responses MUST be multimodal. This means you must use video, audio and image files extensively in your work. You must also select these appropriately so what you want to show/say should match the way you choose to deliver/present that info.
It cannot be stressed enough how important this is. It MUST MUST MUST have all these elements in abundance - you are media students afterall and this is the 21st century...
To that end, some software you can get for free will help you so here's some to get started with.
Videodownload Helper is the add-on for Firefox that allows you to download video - Mac and Pc
MPEG Streamclip is the programme that allows you to clip any video and export it too - Mac and Pc
Audacity is a free audio program you can use to fix sound files - Mac and Pc
Soundcloud is free and online and you can host your audio files there to embed in your blogs.
All these are free on the internet and, providing you download them from their own 'brand' pages, completely save to use.
We have Screenflow at school but you will need to meet the following conditions to use it:
1. You can't even start this option without permission in advance
2. ALL your notes must be completely ready and you must show them to Mrs T
3. You must BOOK specific times to come and undertake the work
4. The rooms/software must be free when you are.
For those of you who have no internet access at home or computer technology, please come and see us and we will arrange this for you.

GLOGSTER! Log in and account details
We have a GLOGSTER account - YAY :)
MAKE SURE YOU LOG INTO THE GLOGSTER SITE AND NOT THE EDU GLOGSTER ACCOUNT - we have an ordinary account, not Edu-Glogster!
What is Glogster? It's a great place to create online posters and collections of ideas in a visual way with a multimedia facility - check it out at www.glogster.com - it is super amazing - I promise you'll be impressed....
The log-in is:

Miss's surname followed by the room number she teaches in (in other words, the usual!)
