New YOUTUBE channel for you to use

Hi all Sixth Formers!

We already have two youtube channels, one for Mrs T to host film and tv clips (mediamonkeymovies2) and one for us to host your coursework (Coombemedia). Your films, once submitted, will be up on BOTH these channels so at the time of writing, year 12 can see all their films.

So you can use youtube to annotate or caption your work for evaluation and for your blogs, we've started another youtube channel just for you - you can do what you like with the videos - add captions and text etc without altering the copies we showcase, that have been embedded in your blogs or that have been sent to the examiners.

The new account has your films in by default but you can upload shorts, extracts - whatever you need but please DO NOT infringe copyright (so careful year 13).

COOMBEMEDIASTUDENT is the channel. The username/email is coombemediastudent@gmail.com and the password, as usual, is Mrs T's surname followed by the room number she teaches in.

Online access to Media Magazine

Don't forget we have access to lots of goodies online and one of these is the English and Media Centre's excellent magazine, aimed specifically at Media Studies students. There are loads of articles, all searchable, and there's also online versions of the magazines (which you can read in the media classrooms and the library as well if you prefer print copies).

You can access the site HERE - you'll need a password to get into the previous articles - go to your blog page and look for the label to find this info!
